Rhuddlan Environmental Group presenting a cheque for £450 to The Appeal. The group raised the money through a series of events at the Rhuddlan Gala day and Community Centre and at Prestatyn Carnival.

After a very wet journey up to Fort William, we arrived at Ben Nevis at 2am, whilst it was still too dark. Everyone got their heads down for an hour or so until it started to get light enough to see, when all the walkers leapt out of bed and started up.
It rained very heavily as the walkers approached the upper half of Ben Nevis, soaking everyone through in the first few seconds.
In order to ensure success, the walkers split into a couple of groups to keep the pace up, but everyone got to the top with time to spare. Coming down was done at a more leisurely pace, as everyone was now very tired.
